Course content
1. Reform pedagogical movement - historical overview and pedagogical starting point. New school and new education - new school movement. Alternative education systems. 2. Waldorf pedagogy - personality of Rudolf Steiner and his pedagogical work. 3. Anthroposophy and theosophy in the concept of Waldorf pedagogy. 4. Waldorf pedagogy - basic principles, analysis, overview. 5. Educational areas in Waldorf pedagogy. Pedagogical and didactic analysis of teaching at Waldorf school. 6. Teacher in Waldorf pedagogy concept. Current Waldorf education in the Czech Republic and Europe. 7. Practice of selected schools working according to Waldorf pedagogy principles - example of Waldorf kindergarten Turnov, Waldorf elementary school Semily, Waldorf lyceum Semily.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Observation

Learning outcomes
The course acquaints students with the basic principles of Waldorf pedagogy and education. Students after graduating will be able to analyze Waldorf pedagogy and education from pedagogic and didactic view.
After completion of the course the student will be able to: 1. Understand the perspective of Waldorf pedagogy in education. 2. Design a lesson in the spirit of Waldorf education. 3. Understand the basics of Waldorf pedagogy.
Prerequisites
Student has knowledge of pedagogy.

Assessment methods and criteria
Interview, Oral presentation of self-study, Written assignment

Regular pedagogical observation in schools with elements of alternative pedagogical concepts - Waldorf schools (Semily, Liberec). Reflection and critical snalysis of hospitations. Presentation of hospitation reflections. Creation of a proposal for an educational short-term program and work activities with regard to alternative pedagogical concept - teaching with respect to Waldorf pedagogy principles.
