Course content
Students adquiere theoretical knowledge an practical competences for music education at primary school. Summary: The importance of music and its function at human life. The aim, tasks and content of music education at primary school (the curiculum, books, methodological handbooks). Psychological basics of music education (child´s musical development, musical abilities and tallent ). Diagnostics at music education. Methods,classroom organization. Teachers competences. Music education systems Orff, Kodály, Kabalevskij, Willems, ....). Child´s music creativity. Vocal education. Instrumental activities. Audio activities. Didactic tecnique at educational process. Music class and teacher´s preparation.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Individual creative and artistic activities, Demonstration of student skills, Practicum, Students' portfolio
  • Class attendance - 14 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 10 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 6 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course gives theoretical knowledges an practical competences for Music education at primary school. The sense of music and its function at human life. The aim, tasks and summary of musical appreciation at first degree of basic school ( the curiculum, books, methodological handbooks). Psychological basics of musical appreciation (musical child´s development, musical abilities and tallent ). Diagnostics at musical appreciation.
Theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field.
Prerequisites
General orientation in the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Presentation of artistic and creative activities, Written assignment

Activity in the classes (70%), score elaboration, Orff instrument playing, creativity, micro presentations. The course is held in Czech language, the requirements are stated in the Czech version.
