Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Landscape, definition, classification in a hierarchical system (biosphere, biocycles, biomes, biotopes). 2. Basic typology of landscapes. 3. Historical development of landscape transformation by humans. 4. The sea. 5. Landscapes of tundra and taiga biomes. 6. Landscapes of deciduous forests and steppes biomes. 7. Landscapes of evergreen subtropical forests and savannas biomes. 8. Landscapes of tropical rainforests and deserts biomes. 9. Coastal landscapes. 10. Landscapes of lowlands and valleys of large rivers. 11. Landscapes of hills and highlands. 12. Landscapes of mountains and high-mountain environments. 13. Landscapes of karst areas and other specific types of landscapes. 14. Urbanized and anthropogenic landscapes.
