Field exercises always take place in areas that are interesting and valuable from a natural science perspective (e.g., in the Ralsko National Geopark). The selected activities emphasize the development of interdisciplinary relationships in the educational area of Man and His World at the primary school level. Emphasis is also placed on the connection with the cross-curricular theme of Environmental Education. Teaching is based on a constructivist approach, drawing on the concept of inquiry-based learning, using field exercises, and aiming to fulfill cognitive, conative, and affective educational goals and to develop several important student competencies. The individual field exercise locations are chosen to make the most of the didactic potential of the given landscape. During the exercises, students learn about ways of approaching field teaching, or rather its specific form - field exercises - and they themselves propose and try out suitable activities. Time is devoted to final reflection, during which students deepen their ability to evaluate and self-evaluate.
