Course content
1. Introduction to the Starting Together program and the role of the teacher (background and principles of the Starting Together program; Goals in preschool/primary education; The role of the teacher as a guide on the path to learning; Analysis of case studies, suggested steps for resolving situations) 2. Stimulating learning environment and planning with children (ITV and EUR; Stimulating learning environment - the third teacher; Organization of activity centers; WS-Planning with children - morning circle and children's independence) 3. Activity centers and individualization (functioning of activity centers; Differentiation of tasks according to children's needs; Group work - Creating assignments for activity centers) 4. Formative assessment, working with portfolios, diagnostics (introduction to formative assessment; Diagnostics of children - progress records; Portfolio as an assessment tool; Case studies - descriptive vs. evaluative language) 5. Evaluation circle, self-evaluation, and feedback (guiding children toward self-reflection and self-evaluation of their work; Evaluation circle; WS - preparation of triads) 6. Emotional intelligence, social skills, and cooperation (developing children's emotional intelligence; Social skills - cooperation, empathy, and respect; Involving parents in the educational process; Case studies / WS - proposing activities focused on developing socio-emotional learning) 7. Integrated planning and project presentations (presentation of integrated planning, portfolios, course reflection, and discussion of practical application)

Student requirements: To successfully complete the course, students must: Actively participate in seminars (20%) Present a thematic block and portfolio (40%) Write a reflective essay on work in the Začít spolu programme (diagnosis and evaluation x Why be a teacher in ZaS?) (40%)
