Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Basic musical terms, tone and its properties 2. Tonal system 3. Notes 4. Musical kinetics and its reflection in musical science 5. Italian musical nomenclature 6. Major scales 7. Minor scales 8. Basic intervals (perfect, major, minor) 9. Intervals derived (diminished, augmented) 10. Triads 11. Inversion of triads 12. Harmonic Functions 13. Musical forms 14. Musical instruments Exercise: The aim of the exercise is to equip students with elementary habits and skills in the field of instrumental play in connection with musical theoretical topics discussed in the lectures. Instrumentation is developed by beginners through the etud game (from the beginner's tooling tool), the advanced stage in the selection of etudes and rehearsals is considered to be the level of technical maturity. Part of the study of the instrumental game is the play of folk songs in the recommended way (according to technical skill).

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Demonstration of student skills

  • Presentation preparation (report) - 4 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aims of the course is to equip students with elementary habits and skills in the field of instrumental play in connection with musical theory discussed in lectures. Instrumental play technique is developed by beginners through the etud gamel, advanced players select etudes and pieces with regard on the degree of their level. Part of the study of instrumental play is play folk songs in the recommended way (according to technical skills).

Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Presentation of artistic and creative activities, Presentation of acquired knowledge via paper, Test

Participation in the classes, written test, instrumental presentation. The course is held in Czech language, the requirements are stated in the Czech version.
