Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Ontogenesis of the child's speech, development of expression and understanding. 2. Children's communication competencies in individual planes. 3. Disruption of the child's communication skills, causes, remedies. 4. Possibilities of speech development, understanding and communication. 5. Methods and forms of work developing communication and speech skills. 6. Speech and communication development through playful activities. 7. Discussion.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Working activities (workshops)
  • Class attendance - 14 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 18 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 14 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 14 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to provide a coherent and comprehensive information on the state, development, possibilities of developing and diagnosing the communication and speech skills of pre-school children and to provide specific themes for working with children in kindergarten.
Theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field.
Prerequisites
General orientation in the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Student's linguistic performance analysis, Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Interview, Test

Activity in the classes, micropresentation, essay, graded assessment. The course is held in Czech language, all requirements are stated in the Czech version.
