Course content
The course presents nature science terminology (chemistry, physics) and the methods of science education pre-school institution. The focus is on formation of positive relationship to living organisms. How to develop science literacy through experiments, simple activities. Basics of ecology education and prevention.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Project teaching
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 20 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 12 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course presents the terminology of animate and inanimate nature, the essentials of biological system and the methods of science education in the primary school. The focus is on ecosystem conception of education and on formation of positive relationship to living organisms. The course includes excursions to The Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Liberec.
Theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field.
Prerequisites
General orientation in the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Didactic test

Activity at the class and excursion, knowledge of literature. The course is held in Czech language, all requirements are stated in the Czech version.
