Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Creative activities in education. 2. Definition of terms: creative education, working instruction, creative activities. 3.Creative activities in kindergarten in curriculum documents. 4. Goals and tasks of creative activities in kindergarten. 5. Preparing the teacher for work. 6. Tools, aids and tools for creative activities. 7. Materials for creative activities. 8. Natural material in creative activities. 9. Plastic materials in creative activities. 10. Textiles in creative activities. 11. Paper in creative Activities. 12. Modeling in creative activities. 13. Installation and disassembly in creative activities. 14. Metals in creative activities.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Individual creative and artistic activities
  • Home preparation for classes - 4 hours per semester
  • Contacts hours - 28 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 8 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course are focused on acquiring skills and knowledge about the theory, history and present teaching of creative activities in kindergarten with regard to Framework Educational Program for Preschool Education and educational reality. In theoretical and practical seminars students deal with teaching methodology, inspirational resources for teaching the subject and their use in kindergarten.

General orientation in the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Presentation of artistic and creative activities, Interview

Participation in seminars, seminar thesis, creative task. The course is held in Czech language, all requirements are stated in the Czech version.
