Course content
The aim of the course is to develop students profesional competences. It focuses on the basic orientation in kindergarten. Students must conduct observation and own supervised professional activity (instruction) according to the mentor teacher in selected kindergartens. Assistant training, participation, observation, orientation in pre-school education and its organization, demonstration of pedagogical and methodological preparation, presentation of own practical activities. Pedagogical portfolio and its evaluation.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Observation, Group consultation, Individual consultation
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 34 hours per semester
Learning outcomes

After completion of the subject student will be able 1. to understand the content of basic phenomena in everyday life in kindergartens 2. to reflect basic phenomena of everyday life in kindergartens critically 3. to apply gained knowledge in educational process 4. to be motivated for continuous learning in the field

General knowledge of basic concepts in pedagogy.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Presentation of acquired experience via portfolio

Attendance to selected kindergartens, class presentation, teacher assessment, pedagogical portfolio.
