Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Theory and history of rhetoric. 2. Formal pronunciation and phonetic expression 3. Technique of the spoken word 4. Přednes textu. Výrazová složka hlasového projevu 5. Non-verbal communication and its elements 6. Art Literature. 7. Introduction to verse theory. 8. Goals and target audience groups 9. Relationship communication 10. Speech education in teaching. 11. Communication with a child in kindergarten. 12. Prevention of communication disorders of small children. 13. Structure of lecture, structure of public performance 14. Individual speech practice

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Preparation for credit - 12 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Verbal discourse of teacher. Childrens rhetoric. Verbal, nonverbal, pedagogical communication and development, voice function, speach, language, vocabulary. Essential theoretical knowledges of phonetics and phonology. Articulation, expression and vocabury extension. Fauls and speach defects, its correction at pre-school institution.
Theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field.
Prerequisites
General orientation in the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Interview, Written assignment

Participation in the classes, written and oral interview. The course is held in Czech language, the requirements are stated in the Czech version.
