Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Components of the process in drama education (personality and social development). 2. Advantages and limits of drama education methods. 3. The personality of the teacher of drama education and their role of leader. 4. Arrangement of the drama education lesson. 5. Preparatory games and exercises - relaxing, discovering yourself and the surrounding world. 6. Preparatory games and exercises - communication, movement. 7. Application of drama education I. 8. Application of drama education II. 9. Application of drama education III. 10. Choosing themes and templates. 11. Genres and types suitable for improvisation according to literature. 12. Reflection and its meaning. 13. Students' mini-performances.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Active metods (simulation, situational contingency methods, drama,acting, namagerial acting )
  • Home preparation for classes - 6 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 42 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 30 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 12 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
During the course the student develops skills and abilities necessary for the practical handling of individual methods and techniques of drama education. They will acquire basic knowledge and methodological practices for leading children in a drama lesson. They will learn how to use drama methods and techniques to apply in various subjects in grades 1-5. At the same time, reading literacy is developed as part of the work with literary texts. Lecture topics are taught in seminars.

Assessment methods and criteria
Presentation of artistic and creative activities, Systematické pozorování studenta

Active participation in drama-education activities, written and oral examination. The course is held in Czech language, the requirements are stated in the Czech version.
