Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Contemporary Concept of Czech Language Education. 2. Teacher's educational strategy in Czech language Education. 3. Interdisciplinarity. 4. Didactic and interactive tools. 5. Methods of teacher´s work. 6. Organization of language teaching. 7. Language education in the 2nd grade. 8. Language education in 3rd grade. 9. Language education in 4th year. 10. Language education in the 5th grade. 11. Activation methods in Czech language teaching. 12. Assessment of pupils. 13. Presentations of students. 14. Dictates - methodology, correction, evaluation.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Independent creative and artistic activities
  • Class attendance - 42 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 30 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report in a foreign language) - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 18 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 10 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The subject gives a comprehensive view of language teaching with an emphasis on the methodological aspect of language at elementary school. Part of the subject is devoted to the development of pupils? reading literacy. The lectures and their topics are subsequently developed and practically tested through exercises.

Written exam, Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Oral presentation of self-study, Test

Participation in the classes, seminar work, written exam. The course is held in Czech language, the requirements are stated in the Czech version.
