Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Creative activities in education. 2. Definition of terms: creative education, creative instruction, creative activities. 3. Creative activities at elementary school in curriculum documents. 4. Objectives and tasks of creative activities at elementary school. 5. Preparing the teacher for work. 6. Tools, aids and tools for creative activities. 7. Materials for creative activities. 8. Natural material in creative activities. 9. Plastic materials in creative activities. 10. Textiles in creative activities. 11. Paper in creative Activities. 12. Modeling in creativeactivities. 13. Installation and disassembly in creative activities. 14. Metals in creative activities.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Individual creative and artistic activities, Practicum
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 12 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes are focused on acquiring skills and knowledge about the theory, history and present teaching of creative activities at elementary school with regard to the Framework Education Program for pre-school education. In the theoretical and practical seminars, the students are discovering inspiring resources for teaching of the subject and use of the activities at elementary school level. Emphasis is placed on the creative activities and tasks in the individual thematic areas.

General orientation in the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Presentation of artistic and creative activities, Interview, Oral presentation of self-study

Participation in seminars, seminar thesis, final creative task. The course is held in Czech language, the requirements are stated in the Czech version.
