Course content
The aim of the course is to use methods and techniques of drama education for application in educational activities with children. Emphasis is placed on creative and playful encounters with elements of drama education. Thematic areas: 1. Play and ritual. 2. Principles of drama education. 3. The story of drama education. Starting points for drama work. 4. The concept of education through art. 5. Working with text. Artistic recitation by children. 6. Methods of drama education in practice in interaction with other subjects. 7. Role-playing, improvisation. 8. Creating a playful reality. Costumes, props, music. 9. Motivation for play through songs, rhymes, and movement. 10. Dramatic interpretation of songs, working with sound and musical motifs. 11. Working with nonverbal dramatic means. Dance, movement, pantomime, new circus. 12. Fairy tales and stories. Searching for themes and topics, or original work. 13. Integrated units with dramatic methods. 14. Teacher in role. Teacher as moderator. Teacher as coordinator.
