Course content
Thematic areas of lectures: 1. Musical instruments 2. Basic musical concepts 3. Tone system and music notation 4. Theoretical foundations of playing the keyboard 5. Orff's instruments in music education 6. Scales in musical text 7. Intervals and chords in music text 8. Chord marks and their use in music practice 9. Basics of musical forms 10. Stylistic periods of music history 11. Important personalities of classical and popular music and their creation 12. Basics of musical forms 13. Music listening activities 14. Work with music notation (score) - theory The presented topics will be practiced in practical activities, which are mainly: instrumental playing (guitar, keyboard, piano), ensemble instrumental activities, singing activities, listening activities, movement activities.

Lecture, Practicum
  • Class attendance - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 40 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report) - 30 hours per semester

The subject is closely connected theoretical teaching and gradual fixation of musical skills.
Theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field.

General orientation in the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Written assignment

Attendance at seminars, written test, to verify practical skills.
