Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Operating systems, hardware, software, necessary hardware and software for activities. 2 - 3. Available applications for music notation, their development, use and control (Capella, Finale, Sibelius). 4 - 5. Work with a specific notation program, advantages of PC processing, deviations from traditional notation. 6. Available applications for audio editing, installation and necessary equipment (eg Audacity, Sound Forge). 7 - 8. Work with sound recording, conditions of creation and possibilities of processing and use in teaching and interpretation. 9. Available video editing applications, installations and necessary equipment (eg Windows Movie Maker). 10 - 13. Working with video, editing and processing of images and sound, export to required formats. 14. Use of freely distributable Internet resources, audio, video, information. Music archives on the web.

Learning outcomes
The course introduces the possibilities of using computer technology in music activities such as: teaching music education, playing an instrument, notation using specialized programs and working with it, making audio or video recording and subsequent editing on a PC, creating a music presentation and more. It also introduces the possibilities of using Internet resources for use in music activities.

General orientation in the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Practical demonstration of acquired skills

Attendance at lessons, presentations, seminar work according to the assignment.
