Course content
Topics: 1. Basic terms and visual art terminology. 2. History of classical visual art. 3. History of modern art. 4. Contemporary visual art. 5. Classical versus modern art. 6. Art versus kitsch. 7. Contemporary ways of interperation in the eduacation through art. 8. Interdisciplinarity in the education through art. 9. Specifics of art expression. Art versus non-art. 10. Integration of visual art in the education. 11. Visual culture in expressive education. 12. Visual art in non-expressive education. 13. ICT and online sources. 14. Presentation and reflexion of the student projects.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Individual creative and artistic activities, Lecture, Practicum, Students' portfolio
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report) - 30 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 30 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course focuses on the history of Visual Art until nowadays. The aim is the application of gained theoretical knowledge into the preparation of art activities.

General orientation in the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination, Presentation of artistic and creative activities

Activity at the classes, semestral project, interview.
