Historical development of drawing and visual art education. The sense and function of visual art education in the primary school. Personality of visual art education teacher. Ontogenesis of children's art and its diagnostics. Typology and individuality. Pedagogical strategies in visual art education. Framework of educational program, school educational program, variants, alternative curriculum. The seminars are connected to the themes of lectures.

The course focuses on didactics problems with planning, preparation, realisation and evaluation of art activities. It focuses on inspiration forms, organizing, reflections and assessment. Students learn how to prepare an art project using mental and thematic maps.
