Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Defining the term "creative writing" 2. Find and enter topics 3. Stimulation for writing 4. Blocking while writing 5. Techniques of literary writing 6. Exercises and games to stimulate creativity 7. Exercises for writing literary texts 8. Akrostich, records of perceptions, animated images 9. Descent into memory, time stopped, objects and spaces 10. Brainstorming, a technique of randomly chosen words 11. Texts for artworks 12. Inspiration by foreign texts 13. Reflection of own text, symbolism of names 14. Lyrics of epics, poetry of prose

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Individual creative and artistic activities, Independent creative and artistic activities

  • Preparation for credit - 16 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 30 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject acquaints students with the field of Creative Writing, with problems of searching for themes, devotes to stimulation to writing, blockades and some of the techniques of literary writing, in the general sense. The seminar includes exercises and games to develop students' creative skills.
Theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field.

General orientation in the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Presentation of acquired experience via portfolio

Participation, presentation and reflexion. The course is held in Czech language, the requirements are stated in the Czech version.
