Course content
Thematic areas: 1. Culture - a basic conceptual definition taking into account the field of art, the artistic acquisition of the world and the development of personality. 2. Expressive mediums and language of music and visual art. 3. Possibilities of expressive material of different arts. 4. Creative work with art and music. 5. Recognition, understanding and interpretation of art and music. 6. Development of non-verbal expression through means of music and visual arts. 7. Relationships between arts.. 8. Coordination of art school subjects. 9. Integration of Art in Education. 10. Art and its relation to other aspects of culture and human society. 11. Art and science. 12. Art education and art as a forming element of man and culture. 13. The importance of aesthetic education in cultural context. 14. The importance of aesthetic education in the context of pre-school education.

Learning outcomes
The subject Arts and Culture provides a comprehensive overview of basic concepts in the field of culture with an emphasis on art and aesthetics and their role in education. Within the theoretical lectures and theoretical and practical activities, students will learn to define important concepts of the phenomenon and to synthesize them in mutual relation both in the field of art and aesthetics, as well as in the field of non-cultural aspects of culture.
