Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 22 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 10 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course is dedicated to basic problems of language use in society, the problems related to bilinguism and language politics in Spain and Latin America. Special attention will be dedicated to present the situation of indigenous languages in Latin America and their contact with Spanish. The students will obtain new information in this field and will present their own investigation in class.
Analysis of theoretical texts, investigation of language contacts.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of linguistics.
