History of linguistics, terminology and linguistic schools. Learning activities and teaching methods
Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 32 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to introduce students into development of linguistics. The students will learn about the most important linguistic schools and critically compare the different approaches. The discussions and analysis will make them skillful in the usage of the basic linguistic terminology.
Theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field.
Prerequisites
The condition is adequate knowledge of the language (A2).

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Credit: Active participation in classes and fulfillment of all assignments. Credit test.
