Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 32 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The goal of the course is to present basic sociolinguistics terminology and to demonstrate it on examples from classical sociolinguistics studies. We will focus both on traditional theories of variation and modern approaches to language and society. We will put emphasis on language contact problems, disappearing languages and ethic issues of linguistics investigations.

Basic linguistics terminology.
