Course content
1. Character of augmentative and alternative communication 2. Supportive or substitute communication systems

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence, Active metods (simulation, situational contingency methods, drama,acting, namagerial acting )
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 8 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 52 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Students learn the general principles, methods and strategies of using the instruments of alternative and augmentative communication. They adopt basic communication systems of alternative and augmentative communication in connection with communication needs of particular groups of people with health disorders.

Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecturer.
