Course content
1. Characteristics and handling the subject of music education 2. Complex approach towards the music science topics and the music education as such 3. Methods and techniques of music education 4. Structure of lectures in regard of individuals with special education needs

Learning activities and teaching methods
Written assignment presentation and defence, Individual creative and artistic activities
  • Preparation for credit - 35 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 25 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
This course shows the methodology of music education with emphasis on music as one of relaxation and mental hygiene methods. Student is enabled to get oriented in basic methods of music education as a part of mental hygiene in childhood as well as it is the mean of preventing socio-pathological features and the burn-out syndrome. Students are able to apply the methods of music education within the education process.

Special education and consecutive knowledge gained through the educational background.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecturer.
