Course content
1. Basic terminology of talented pupils education 2. Behavior symptoms, learning strategies of the talented pupils according to their age 3. Talented pupils typology 4. Talented pupils identification inside peer groups 5. Methods of work with talented pupils 6. Forms of education for talented pupils 7. Family issues of talented pupils 8. Talented pupils and the Czech Republic system of care

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence, Active metods (simulation, situational contingency methods, drama,acting, namagerial acting )
  • Class attendance - 8 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 52 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Talented pupils and their problems in pre-school and school age. Students learn how to discover the talented pupils and use appropriate education methods in the process of educating pupils with special talents and personal characteristics. This course shows the variety of approaches towards talented pupils.

Special education and consecutive knowledge gained through the educational background.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students must join the seminars and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecturer.
