Course content
1. Introduction of the topics of psychopathology 2. Personality and its disorders 3. Memory and attention and their disorders 4. Intelligence and its disorders 5. Cognition and its disorders 6. Consciousness and sensation and their disorders 7. Emotions and their disorders 8. Central nervous system and its disorders in connection to individual psychic development 9. Typical features of psychic development of children with health difficulties

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence
  • Class attendance - 4 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 20 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 35 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 60 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Thanks to this course students underestand the particular components of mental functions and learn about the disorders of these functions. Students underestand the social consequences of mental diseases and disorders including the social attitude towards the psychical ill people.

Special education and consecutive knowledge gained through the educational background.

Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecturer.
