Course content
1. Elementary terminology 2. Basic theoretical and historical conceptions (of schooling) and approaches 3. Particular causes of social deviance 4. Particular social pathology features

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence
  • Class attendance - 6 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 60 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 54 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Students receive basic information about the main problems and interests of social pathology. They underestand the problems of social deviance and the ways these deviance are explored by particular scientific branches.

Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecturer.
