Course content
1. Basic terminology 2. Process aspects of the burn-out syndrome 3. Burn-out syndrome and its object - helping professionals 4. Prevention and remedy of burn-out syndrome 5. Practical and self-experience part

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence, Active metods (simulation, situational contingency methods, drama,acting, namagerial acting )
  • Preparation for credit - 32 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 50 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 8 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Students learn the basic terminology connected with proffesional threats and working stress threatening poeple helping and working with other people. Students distinguish terms: working stress, depresion, burn-out syndrom. They learn about the causes, prevention and treatment of burn-ot syndrom - and about the usage of the psychotherapy principles.

Special education and consecutive knowledge gained through the educational background.

Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecturer
