Course content
1. Introduction of the topic 2. Goals of the counseling activities 3. System of counseling 4. The role of counseling in the system of care for people with special needs 5. Special counseling activities

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence
  • Class attendance - 18 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 32 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 40 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Students study the principles of counselling activities, the goals of counselling and its practical outcomes. Students learn about the principles of diagnosing, counselling, intervention and basic characteristics of counselling institutions, their focus and klinets. Students train themselves in a number of counselling skills.

Special education and consecutive knowledge gained through the educational background.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecture.
