Course content
1. The specific model of university education 2. The specific model of distant learning in TU in Liberec 3. Working with academic texts and writing academic texts 4. Formal and structural principles of academic writing

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence, Active metods (simulation, situational contingency methods, drama,acting, namagerial acting )
  • Semestral paper - 36 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 50 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 4 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
In this subject students learn about the specific model of distant learning in TU in Liberec and the specific student role in it. In the second part of the subject students learn how to work with academic texts, how to write academic thesis and which formal and structural principles of academic writing they have to follow.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecture.
