Course content
1. Basics concepts related to gifted children (giftedness, talent, intelligence). 2. Behavioral manifestations and typology of gifted children. 3. Identification of gifted children in group of children. 4. Methods of work with gifted children, forms of education of them. 5. Double exceptionality. 6. Problems of families with gifted children. 7. Situation in the Czech republic at area of gifted children support.

Learning outcomes
The subject acquaints students with issues of giftedness with an emphasis on school age. The aim of the subject is to teach students to reveal the giftedness of children and to apply adequate educational approaches to the child with regard to the specifics of his giftedness and personality. The effort is to show the variety of approaches to each gifted child based on the theoretical background.

Prerequisites
General knowledge of the social scienties elements. Mastered knowledge from the course of Special pedagogy 1.
