Lectures: 1. The position of people with special needs in the society. School and social inclusion. 2. Hearing therapy - special pedagogy for people with hearing difficulties. 3. Vision therapy - special pedagogy for people with visual difficulties. 4. Education for people with mental retardation - characteristics of such people. 5. Education for people with health difficulties - characteristics of such people. 6. Behavioural therapy - special pedagogy of people with behavioural disorders. 7. Special pedagogy for people with combined difficulties. Seminars: 1. Present trend in special pedagogy. 2. Communication principles for people with visual difficulties. Ways to support them, special aids. 3. Communication principles for people with hearing difficulties. Ways to support them, special aids. 4. Communication principles for people with learning difficulties. Ways to support them, special aids. 5. Communication principles for people with body health difficulties. Learning outcomes
|
This discipline is for the students to learn the issues of specific knowledge from the are of hearing difficulties, visual difficulties, mental issues, health difficulties and behavioural problems and the therapy and studies of all of them. Students learn basic terminology; classification, and characteristics. The accent is on the practical use of the knowledge in education practise and in the cooperation with social work and social workers. This course is based in the knowledge students gain in the discipline Special pedagogy for social workers 1.
