Learning outcomes
|
The general part of the course introduces students to the concept of civil society, its theoretical foundations, including the prerequisites for the emergence of civil society and its social importance. It will establish an explanation of the nature, importance and functioning of the non-profit public and civil sector in a free, democratic society. Furthermore, the students will be acquainted with the numerous aspects of the existence of state and non-governmental non-profit organizations in the Czech Republic, including the financing of non-profit sector entities. On a particular level, the course will focus on the activities of the non-profit public and civil sector in the Czech Republic in selected thematic areas related to the field of social work.

|
Student's performance analysis
Active participation in lessons. Presentation of a topic given by the teacher. Continuous contribution to discussion forum on given topics.
