Course content
1. Definition of andragogy, its subject and core of its research, possible research strategies, in the social work context 2. Brief history of andragogy, theoretical and methodological concepts of the main characters of the discipline 3. Czech andragogy and integral andragogy 4. Andragogical concept, which are connected directly with the process of care, social work and social service 5. Issues of adulthood in the present society, possible ways of development and growth of the adult, role of the adult educator in this process

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence
  • Class attendance - 12 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 18 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to teach students the basis of this academic discipline which can become theoretical and methodological and above all philosophical frame of social work. It is andragogy and mainly integral andragogy.

Social issues and consecutive knowledge gained through the educational background.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecturer.
