Course content
1. Risk - "typology" of approaches towards risks, existence of a risk in social work and people professions 2. Research in the area of the risk assessment in social work 3. Selected risks in social work 4. Communication skills in the hazardous environment

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence
  • Semestral paper - 22 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 8 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Students will gain the general overview about the methods and forms of the risk assessment in connection with individual specific categories of people and phases of the assessment process. Students will gain basic knowledge to assess the social situation of a client correctly, including the psychological context. Students will get a brief summary of basic possible risks in social work.

Social issues and consecutive knowledge gained through the educational background.

Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecturer.
