Course content
1. Non-profit sector (definition, non-profit organizations, non-government non-profit organizations) 2. Theory of the rise and development of the organizations 3. International clasification of non-profit organizations 4. Federal activity in the CR from the historical point of view 5. NNO in the Czech Republic, cooperation between the NNO and the state 6. Financing and fundraising in the non-profit sector 7. Model of implementation of the NNO into society

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence
  • Class attendance - 12 hours per semester

  • Preparation for credit - 28 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to teach students the historical consequences of the non-profit sector development in the Czech Republic and abroad, the present development trends of the non-profit organizations and models of their implementation into society.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecturer.
