Course content
1. Social deviance, social norms and their demarcation 2. Particular causes of social deviation 3. Particular socially pathological phenomena

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence
  • Class attendance - 12 hours per semester

  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
Students are informed of social pathology as a part of sociology. Students are acquainted with formation and development of views on social pathology, elementary theoretical conceptions, conceptions (schools) and approaches (biological, psychological, sociological, combinated). Students receive basic information about main terminology and definitions. During seminars there is a possibility of reflection of theoretical knowledge with the practice.

Social issues and consecutive knowledge gained through the educational background.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students write a semestral thesis. Students follow the instructions of the lecturer, they follow the instruction of lenght, topic and content. The thesis must show the knowledge students master through their study hours. The thesis must be accepted by the lecturer, so the student can enter the exam. Examination conditions are set by the lecturer.
