Organizing the social services and benefits for the elderly, basis of the geriatrics diagnostics especially the geriatric syndromes 7. Quality of life in the old age 8. Thanatology

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the discipline is to gain expert theoretical knowledge from gerontology and geriatrics and their appropriate use in the social work as a people profession. Students will also learn about various approaches towards the work with the elderly which will be practised in the seminar.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student's performance analysis
To gain the credit students write a semestral thesis. Students follow the instructions of lecturer, they follow the instruction of lenght, topic and content. The thesis must show the knowledge students master through their study hours. The thesis must be accepted by the lecturer, so the student can enter the exam. Examination conditions are set by the lecturer.
