Course content
1. Social workers communication with a person who is post-lingual deaf 2. Social workers communication with a person who is pre-lingual deaf 3. Social workers communication with a person who has hearing difficulties 4. Using technical aids to support the communication with a person who has hearing difficulties

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence, Demonstration of student skills
  • Class attendance - 8 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 22 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
In the discipline Introduction into the communication with people with hearing difficulties the students will gain basic insight of the issues and competencies for the communication with this target group.

Student's performance analysis

To gain the credit students must join the seminar and write a semestral thesis. Other demands are specified by the lecturer.
