Learning outcomes
This subject focus for the warp knitting technology and follows on the subject Knitting. Students deepen their knowledge which related to the warp knitted patterns and their constructions. The subject is to describe students with the preparing of materials and operations for warp knitting, Construction of warp knitting machines (especially knitting mechanisms and patterning devices), with their characteristics and applications. Basic principles of production warp knitted fabric for technical requests are included into the content.
Basic orientation in the production of warp knitting fabrics for clothing and technical applications. Specification and analysis of warp knitting structures, possibility of their production in the current portfolio of produced warp knitting machines. Characteristics of warp knitting machines and warp knits for technical purposes, their application and patterning possibilities for warp knitting.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of knitting principles and knitting structures at the level of subject TT1 - Textile Technologies.
