Course content
1. Introduction to the subject - hurdle preparation (hurdle alphabet). 2. The improvement of a running technique - special ABC running drills, the development of speed endurance. 3. Technique and methodology of hurdling, crossing while walking and running with 5-7 steps. 4. The improvement of the low start technique, crossing hurdles in the three-step rhythm with shortened gaps. 5. The improvement of shot-put technique with the shuffle, crossing hurdles in the three-step (four-step) rhythm with standard gaps. 6. The improvement of high jump technique in terms of Fosbury Flop, pole vault - demonstration of the discipline. 7. The improvement of long jump technique in terms of the sail, the improvement of tempo endurance. 8. The improvement of hurdling technique, javelin throw - demonstration of the discipline. 9. The improvement of the technique of shot put, discus throw and hammer throw - demonstration of the disciplines. 10. Revision of relay exchange, the development of speed endurance by means of relay race games. 11. The development of speed, the improvement of long jump technique. 12. Revision lesson, individual improvement. 13. Fulfillment of the credit requirements. 14. Fulfillment of the credit requirements.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Observation, Motoric and practical working skills training, Group consultation, Demonstration of student skills
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 15 hours per semester
  • Presentation preparation (report) - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Students develop the athletic skills from Athletics 1 further and they familiarize themselves with other athletic disciplines. The acquisition of the required level of motoric abilities and athletic skills is proved in a modified athletic heptathlon. The sufficient familiarity with the problematics is proved by means of organization of an athletic competition for juniors.
Student will be able to perform athletic discipline technical well.

Student's performance analysis, Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Presentation of group work, Written assignment

Course credit requirements: Passing an athletic heptathlon - practical verification that a student has reached the required level of motoric abilities and athletic skills, involvement in an athletic competition (organization and judging).
