Course content
Lectures: 1. Introduction to human physiology. Cell. 2. Physiology of body fluids, blood and immune system. 3. Physiology of the heart and blood system. 4. Physiology of respiration. 5. Physiology of digestion and absorption of substances. 6. Metabolism and physiology of nutrition. 7. Physiology of excretion. Thermoregulation. 8. Endocrine system. 9. Muscle physiology. 10. General neurophysiology. 11. Physiology of the central nervous system. 12. Motor system. ANS. Limbic system. 13. Sensory physiology. 14. Integration and association activities of the nervous system. Seminars: 1. Practical exercise (calendar age, body height). 2. Practical exercise (BMI, adipose tissue). 3. Practical exercise (indicators of heart activity, blood pressure). 4. Practical exercise (metabolism). 5. Practical exercise (nutrition, energy). 6. Practical exercise (work energy). 7. Practical exercise (muscle test), credit session.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Demonstration

  • Semestral paper - 10 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the issues of resting human physiology.
Students received special knowledge about operation and function of human body systems.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of human anatomy in the range of curriculum ANA1,2.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination, Oral exam, Student's performance analysis

Entrance Requirement - Exam ANA2 Course credit requirements: Participation at the seminars, submitted protocols, particular tests, credit test. Examination requirements: Oral examination.
