Course content
During the five-day course, students will undergo all-day hikes on ski-mountaineering skis in the mountain environment. Predominantly, this concerns ski-touring conception of this field. The participants of the course will be introduced to the basic movements on ski-mountaineering skis and they will obtain information concerning avalanches and avalanche dangers, about post-avalanche activities, work with/of avalanche searchers and about first aid during mountain hikes. Theoretical information concerning subjective and objective danger, appropriate equipment etc. is included.

Learning outcomes
Participants of the course will be introduced to the basic movements on ski-mountaineering skis and they will obtain theoretical information related to stays in a winter environment.
Students received special competences as per curriculum of accredited specialisation.
Prerequisites
Elementary movement skills corresponding to the age characteristics of the student.

Student's performance analysis

Active participation in the course and all its parts.
