Course content
Introduction to Management, the definition of labor management. Historical Roots of management and its development. Pragmatic management of current most successful companies. Challenges in a globalized business world. The function of management decision making, planning, organization, coordination, motivation and people management, control and its forms. Planning, strategic planning, SWOT analysis, mission, vision. Communication, communication barriers, assertiveness, information management systems. Management, leadership, coaching, teamwork. Human Resource Management. Basic activities, the role of managers in the various activities of human resource management. Profile manager, personal characteristics and prerequisites for successful performance management functions. Managerial decisions, procedures, methods, tools. Organizational structure and design organizations. Operating (operational) management. Management of the value chain.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Written assignment presentation and defence
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with problems of corporate governance. It is a general plane, including a wide variety of controlled entities (non-profit entrepreneurial x small medium enterprises, management of international consortia). It also includes an analysis of organizational processes. Successful management companies is subject elementary understanding of managerial functions, key approaches and techniques.
Students will gain knowledge on the subject within the scope of the aims of the student. This involves: - Clarify terminology management, especially related to managerial functions, - Characterize the role of management and managers for the prosperity of the controlled entity (enterprise, institution) - Describes the basic principles of self-management, time management, including general manager of the principles of managerial work, - Distinguish the roles of owners, entrepreneurs, managers, employees, - Describes the basic types of organizational structures.
Prerequisites
Interest in the issue. The use of critical thinking.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written exam

A maximum of 2 absences. Elaboration and presentation of a project in a given term. Exam in the form of a written test. 1 = Excellent (90-100%), 2 = very good (75-89%), 3 = Good (60-74%), 4 = Insufficiently (0-59%). Navrhnout úpravu
