Course content
The course mediates the acquaintance of students with the practical application of knowledge and skills acquired so far. The purpose of professional practice is an independent activity with a given age category of individuals in the field of sports and leisure activities with a focus on a healthy lifestyle and support for an active lifestyle. The course is implemented through the practical activities of the student at the selected workplace and in the natural conditions of institutions providing sports and leisure activities for a given age category. Students get acquainted with the reality of work environment, acquire practical skills and identify with the profession of sports and leisure specialist. At the same time, they apply into practice the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills acquired through studies. The aim of professional practice is to work with children and youth (3-18 years) in sports and leisure organizations. Emphasis is placed on performing physical activity with regard to a healthy lifestyle. The form of performance is multi-day events during the spring, summer, autumn, winter holidays, or on weekends during the academic year (sports camps, summer camps, suburban camps, weekend trips, ski training courses, residential courses, etc.). Organization of Practice: The assignment of internships is presented at the Introductory Training Course for the 1st year students. The student is obliged to get acquainted with the document Basic Information about Professional Practice (www.ktv.tul.cz).

  • Semestral paper - 40 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course mediates the acquaintance of students with the practical application of knowledge and skills acquired so far. The aim of professional practice is to work with children and youth (3-18 years) in sports and leisure organizations. Emphasis is placed on performing physical activity with regard to a healthy lifestyle.

Assessment methods and criteria
Inspection

Course credit requirements: Prepare and consult selected professional practice, submit the The Form for Announcement of Carrying Out a Practice, report, complete and evaluate professional practice. It includes the obligation to submit the final report and evaluation of the person responsible for the student during the practice. Professional practice must be approved by the subject guarantor. The practice assignment is presented at the Introductory Training Course. The student is obliged to get acquainted with the document Basic Information about Professional Practice (www.ktv.tul.cz). To acquire the course and grant credit, it is necessary to have met all the requirements of practice by the end of the winter semester in the second year of study.
