Course content
Lectures: 1. The functions of decision-making management, planning, organization, coordination, motivation and managing people, control and its forms. 2. Planning, strategic planning, SWOT analysis, the mission, vision. 3. Communication, barriers in communication, assertiveness, information systems for management. Management, management of people, coaching, team work. 4. Management of human resources. Basic activities, roles of managers in particular activities of management of human resources. 5. Manager's profile, personal characteristics and preconditions for successful practice of their function. 6. Manager's decision-making, procedure, methods, tools. 7. Organizational structure and the projecting of organization. Operational management. Value chain management. Seminars: 1. Presentation of organizers of successful sport events. 2. Presentation of organizers of successful sport events. 3. Presentation of organizers of successful sport events. 4. The production and consultation of particular student projects. 5. Presentation of the projects. 6. Presentation of the projects. 7. Fulfillment of credit and exam requirements.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Lecture, Practicum

  • Preparation for credit - 25 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is the introduction of the organization and management of sports events to students.
Students received special competences as per curriculum of accredited specialisation.

Assessment methods and criteria
Presentation of acquired knowledge via paper

Course credit requirements: Active participation at the seminars, creation and presentation of an assigned project.
