Course content
Psychology of movement activities 1. Psychology of movement activities - content, subject. 2. Student and athlete personality - motivational disposition, needs, attitudes, interests, values, habits, aspirations and temperament, character, will and morally free qualities. Dynamics of personality - maturation and learning. 3. The influence of movement activities on the psychological processes and states of the individual. Cognitive processes - perception, imagining, thinking, attention, memory, emotions, motivation. 4. Psychological analysis of sports and physical education activities from a physical, personal and social point of view. 5. Working with group dynamics. 6. Social context in physical education and sport. Socialization, social group, social perception in sport, social positions in the group. 7. Developmental periods of the individual in the context of sports training. Male and female sport model. 8. The personality of a teacher, trainer. Communication with students, athletes, and parents. 9. Psychology of sports performance - internal and external factors of sports performance. Working with talents. 10. The complexity of sports and physical training.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of this subject is to acquaint the students with chosen problems of psychology of physical activities.
Students received special competences as per curriculum of accredited specialisation.
