Course content
Seminars: 1. Ping-pong (seminar 1-7). Characteristics, the origin and development of ping-pong, rules. 2. Technique of movement: guard, the work of legs while strokes, arm movement. 3. Stroke technique: racket hold, serve, basic direct strokes. 4. Stroke technique: basic direct strokes, lift, drive. Game. 5. Stroke technique: lift, drive, topspin. Game. 6. Stroke technique: variants of topspin, smash. Game. 7. Stroke technique: slice, chop, bump. Game. 8. Badminton (seminar 8-14). Characteristics of badminton, rules. 9. Technique, the practice of game activities. Biomechanical information. The movement of a player over the pitch. 10. The practice and improvement of forehand (lob, drive, short ball and smash). Game. 11. The practice and improvement of backhand (lob, drive and short ball). Game. 12. The practice of lower forehand and backhand. Game. 13. The practice of shot combinations. Game. 14. The practice and improvement of short and long serve.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Motoric and practical working skills training, Demonstration of student skills

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to introduce students to the basic characteristics of badminton, ping-pong, tennis and squash (technique, rules, organization of competitions) and to the basic motoric skills of each game.
Student will be able to correct technical performance of racket sports skills. Student acquires professional competencies for the realization of games and decision in racket sports.
Prerequisites
Mastering of secondary physical education curriculum. Basic motor skills appropriate age characteristics of student.

Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Systematické pozorování studenta

Course credit requirements: Active participation at the seminars, essay dealing with history, content, rules and game systems of ping-pong and badminton.
